I was one of those girls who hated wearing makeup, rarely got it done, but had the biggest collection of all of my friends. Weird right? Well… about six weeks ago, a switch flipped in me. I ordered a palette from Morphe… the Jaclyn Hill Palette, and I have never looked back to life without makeup. I am wearing makeup more often than before. It quickly became important to keep my brushes clean and looking brand new. Sephora came along and introduced me to a makeup brush cleaner that rocked my world.
How to Use Sephora’s Daily Makeup Brush Cleaner
Using this makeup brush cleaner is literally as easy as one, two, three.
ONE: Gather Your Brushes and a Towel
This is a pretty self-explanatory step. Now would be the time to gather all brushes, the spray, and a towel.
TWO: Spray the Spray Onto the Towel
Note: You should probably use a towel that you don’t care about. Do not use one of your favorite towels… you will be very upset at the end of this process. Also, do not spray directly onto the brushes. In fact, spray a little at a time onto the towel.
Let me rephrase, spray a good amount of spray onto the towel. However, it dries quickly, so you do not want too much onto the towel. Otherwise, it becomes a waste.
THREE: Wipe Your Brushes Clean
If you observed the brushes before, and look at this after, there is a great difference between the two. Looking at the brushes, they look a lot cleaner than before. Additionally, they feel softer than when they are weighed down with products. Unfortunately for the lip brush, MAC’s Ruby Woo has stained it, but it mostly came off (brush furthest to the right).
Before getting into makeup, I didn’t care about cleaning my brushes. It has since become important for me to clean them after every use. (Unfortunately for me, I spilled my bottle, so I substituted with Micellar Water to clean my brushes. Do not use this method if you don’t have to. Just buy the spray, it’s completely worth it. The Micellar water only does half as good as this cleaner. So, I am back to using the Daily Brush Cleaner.)
